Revision of Work Practices from Fri, 2020-07-17 12:32

Our workflow is as follows:

1) Research, locate and obtain images of a manuscript

2) Catalogue manuscript metadata and images in project database

3) Volunteers produce basic (Level 1) transcript

4) Researchers produce corrected (Level 2) transcript with scholarly endnotes

5) Wallace specialist (the project's Director) edits Level 2 transcript focussing primarily on the endnotes. The resulting document is a publishable quality (Level 3) transcript

6) Level 3 transcripts are then formatted for publication in The Correspondence of Alfred Russel Wallace
